Nashville, Tn—We Are Family, the recorded event featuring Jeff & Sheri Easter, The Lewis Family, and The Easter Brothers received two Dove Awards at the 2009 ceremony. “They’re Holding Up The Ladder” won Bluegrass Recorded Song of the Year while the album “We Are Family” won Bluegrass Album of the Year. The project was produced by Jeff & Sheri Easter, and was truly a labor of love honoring their family’s legacies in bluegrass gospel music.

The family project is scheduled for release February 26. The combination package will include the DVD/CD from the live taping in Mt. Airy, NC, and the studio version of the project will be released simultaneously. The three projects are sure to be a collectible for any gospel music fan. As far as we can research, never in the history of any genre of music, have three artists combined their talents in this manner for a such a special commemorative. Over 130+ years of touring, over 150 recordings, Grammy nominations, over 15 Dove Awards/nominations, 70+ fan and industry awards, inductions into the Georgia Music Hall of Fame, Southern Gospel Music Hall of Fame, GMA Gospel Music Hall of Fame, IBMA Hall of Honor, and many impressive performances at The Lincoln Center, Carnegie Hall, the Smithsonian Institute, and the Sydney Opera House will be represented with this collection of family heritage and musical prestige.
